A small-group, guided tour to visit Kent and discover its notable attractions

On this 11-hour, small-group guided tour, you'll travel from London to explore several attractions in Kent, which is known as the “Garden of England”. You'll pause briefly at Greenwich, which is known for giving its name to the Greenwich Mean Time, for a coffee and bathroom break before heading out to the countryside.

In Kent, you'll visit the traditional English village of Chilham, explore the medieval castle in Dover, and view the iconic White Cliffs of Dover. Your last stop will be Canterbury. Here, your guide will show you around and take you to see some of the city’s highlights. Afterwards, you'll have a couple of hours to explore on your own. You can shop, stop to eat and visit the UNESCO-listed Canterbury Cathedral.

Throughout the tour, you'll hear interesting facts about the sites and learn more about Kent’s history.

      Please note the tour price does not include admission to Dover Castle and the optional entrance to Canterbury Cathedral. Admission tickets will have to be purchased separately.

      Please note that the admission charges for the sites are controlled by English Heritage and are subject to change.

      Participants who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication will not be permitted on the tour and will forfeit their right to participate without a refund.

      Please arrive on time. Latecomers will neither provided with an alternative tour date nor refund under any circumstances.

      This tour involves a moderate amount of walking and walking on some uneven surfaces.

      Large luggage are not permitted on this tour, as luggage compartment are limited.

      This tour runs in all weather conditions. Please dress accordingly.

      This tour can accommodate a maximum of 16 participants.

      Please dress comfortably. Warm waterproof clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

      Due to graduations, parts of Canterbury Cathedral will remain closed on the following days: 6, 17 and 20 May, 12 and 15 June, and 6 September. The remainder of the cathedral will still be open to the public.

      Please bring your ticket with you to the attraction.

      Stop at: Greenwich

      • Free admission

      We make a short stop in Greenwich on our way out of London. Greenwich forms part of our natural route out of the city and is a great place for us to stop and grab a coffee and use the bathroom before we get out into the countryside. Admire the Cutty Sark - a famous restored 19th century tea clipper sailing ship. Hear stories of Kings and Queens visiting, and learn about the observatory that gave birth to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and see the famous Royal Naval College.

      Wander round this beautiful example of a traditional English village. Full of charm and centred around a village square, with a church, pub and tearooms. Chilham is perhaps Kent's most beautiful village

      Stop at: The White Cliffs of Dover

      We bring you down to the shoreline under the world famous White Cliffs of Dover. One of England's most iconic natural locations, and a welcome sight for soldiers and pilots returning home from warfare in history. Stroll along the pebble beach with the cliffs behind you, and weather permitting, a view 20 miles across the English Channel to France.

      Explore this glorious medieval castle - describes as the "Key to England". Huge defensive significance throughout English history, and in use as a defensive position since the Iron Age 3000 years ago, also used by the Romans - evidenced by a Roman lighthouse on the site - the most complete standing Roman structure in England. You'll have a couple of hours to visit this incredible castle - perhaps have a bite to eat in one of their cafes.

      We spend 2.5 hours in Canterbury. Time to explore this famous English city, perhaps do some shopping, have a bite to eat or a drink in one of it's many charismatic pubs. Perhaps take the time to visit the spectacular UNESCO world heritage site cathedral - the enormous 11th century Canterbury Cathedral. Later, join your guide for a walking tour of the history and highlights of Canterbury, hear stories of Chaucer and the founding fathers, follow in the footsteps of pilgrims visiting the shrine of Thomas Becket, before we head off
