Prado Museum, also known as Spain's national art museum, is home to the most extensive collection of Spanish paintings including 'Las Meninas' by Velázquez and 'The Third of May' by Goya. There are more than 20,000 works of art ranging from the Renaissance period to Picasso's era including international masterpieces like 'The Garden of Earthly Delights' by Bosch and 'Nobleman with his Hand on his Chest' by El Greco.

  Additional information

  The ticket includes access to the main collection and temporary exhibitions on the day of the visit. Temporary exhibitions may be subject to admission. In this case, the corresponding Time Pass must be purchased on the day of the visit. Time availability will be subject to demand.

  The museum is wheelchair accessible (adapted restrooms, accessible lifts, ramps and platforms).

  The auditorium and displays are equipped with a magnetic induction loop. Wheelchairs can be rented in the cloakroom. Guide dogs are welcome.

  The museum is open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00. On Sundays and during holidays, opening hours are 10:00 to 19:00. There will be limited opening hours on 6 January, 24 and 31 December from 10:00 to 14:00. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing. The museum is closed on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.

  Reduced admission is available onsite for seniors aged 65 years and over, youth card holders and members of large families.

  Free admission is available on site for children under 18, students aged 18–25 years and disabled visitors + 1 carer. Free admission is provided for all visitors from Monday to Saturday between 18:00 and 20:00 and Sundays and holidays from 17:00 to 19:00. The ticket exempts visitors from going through the ticket office, but does not grant priority access to the museum.

  Be aware that operators may cancel for unforeseen reasons.
